Role Overview

G4S is seeking a professional and diligent Corporate Security Officer to join our team based in the prestigious Titanic Quarter in the heart of Belfast for a new international banking customer. This permanent full-time position requires an individual capable of maintaining the highest standards of security, safety and customer service in a demanding corporate environment. The role is pivotal in safeguarding people and property, supporting our client's operations and ensuring a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere strictly to all security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and security of people and property and to work seamlessly with other service providers ensuring that security protocols are adhered to;

  • Manage access control systems efficiently and accurately;

  • Support the client with fire safety procedures, including regular checks and emergency response actions;

  • Provide excellent customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for staff, including senior corporate figures and visitors;

  • Proactively monitor and patrol premises, identifying and mitigating potential security risks;

  • Effectively manage challenging situations professionally and calmly;

  • Utilise corporate IT and security systems and be willing to undertake relevant training;

  • Liaise and communicate effectively and confidently with all stakeholders and internal teams;

  • Report to Site Security Manager

  • Demonstrate high levels of personal pride in wearing the customer uniform;

  • Available to attend training at other UK / Ireland customer sites;

  • Willing to achieve enhanced Health & Safety and first aid training; 

  • Daily and nightly audits to be conducted 

  • Provide solutions-focused support to ensure a safe and secure environment for our client.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of essential security expertise and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, a confident communicator capable of clear and concise information delivery;

  • Inter-personal Skills: Excellent ability to build rapport and liaise effectively with diverse individuals, including high-profile stakeholders;

  • Customer Service: Demonstrable track record of delivering excellent customer service;

  • Conflict Management: Proven skills in de-escalation and managing conflict effectively;

  • Resilience: Ability to work well under pressure and manage high-pressure situations with composure;

  • IT Literate: Capable and confident in using computer and communication systems, radios, phones, Email, and public address;

  • Proactivity: Highly motivated, with a strong commitment to new skills including enhanced Health & Safety and first aid training.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a corporate security environment is highly desirable.

Training and Development

Comprehensive role training and training in relevant IT systems will be provided to the successful candidate, ensuring they are fully equipped to excel in this demanding yet rewarding role.
