Our Golden Rules of Safety
Our Golden Rules of Safety are our simple and easily understood behaviours that prevent incidents from occurring. Our Golden Rules apply in all geographies, service lines and at all times while working for G4S.
Ensuring we’re doing all we can to put ourselves and our colleagues safety first, we will continue to raise awareness of the Golden Rules of Safety by emphasising the importance of general rules, road safety rules and specialist rules.
Our Golden Rules are available in simple posters in 35 languages to make the messaging accessible and easily understood for all our employees across the world.

Report all incidents, as well as unsafe acts and conditions
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Do not work or drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Check your vehicle before driving
Always wear a seat belt
Take the required breaks when driving
Do not speed
Never use a hand-held mobile telephone whilst driving

Treat every firearm as loaded
Obtain authorisation before entering a confined space
Always wear a helmet and high visibility equipment when riding a motorcycle
