About the role and team

We are currently taking expressions of interest for an exciting opportunity for an established, experienced Security Manager to join our team at G4S, working for our high profile tech client contract based in Barangaroo. You will be responsible for leading day-to-day security operations, safeguarding cutting-edge AI research, and fostering an approachable, open security culture. Working alongside the client's Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) team, you will serve as a trusted security partner who takes initiative, quickly grasps complex systems, and leads with confidence during crisis situations. You will report directly to the G4S Director of Integrated Security and will work closely with our client's senior site leaders and cross-functional partners.

Your duties will include:

• Managing daily security operations and providing direction to security personnel
• Serving as an approachable client manager, building strong interpersonal relationships, and fostering open communication across all business levels
• Overseeing access control systems, VMS/CCTV, and security technologies, ensuring their proper functioning
• Taking initiative to quickly learn client systems, pick up processes, and develop and implement practical security solutions
• Leading emergency response activities and running crisis situations with calm, decisive control under pressure
• Conducting risk assessments, addressing site vulnerabilities, and maintaining AI Safety Level (ASL) compliance frameworks
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with building management, local law enforcement, and emergency services

What we're looking for

• Established experience in security operations or multi-facility management within fast-paced technology, R&D, or corporate environments
• Excellent communication, client management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Demonstrated initiative and proven ability to rapidly pick up new systems, software, and operational processes
• Strong crisis management instincts with a proven track record of running crisis situations and leading under pressure
• A proactive problem solver who can identify vulnerabilities, develop solutions, and execute them effectively
• Valid NSW Security Licence, as a minimum class 1A
• Certificate III - Security operations
