37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - with flexibility in line with business needs

£32,000 per annum (plus overtime opportunities)

Due to continued expansion at the prestigious MCFC Eastlands Campus, G4S Events is pleased to announce that we are looking to recruit anEvents Manager to join the team.  This newly established role will primarily focus on the strategic opening and operational launch, with day to day responsibility of the upcoming Entertainment District, which includes a premier, onsite hotel.

This is a key customer account in Manchester, and at times, it may be necessary to support the wider team across the Campus, on other customer accounts within the North of England and beyond, as and when business needs demand.   You will play a key role in helping us deliver our ambition to be the first choice for security, stewarding and crowd management,  all whilst setting new standards within the events industry.

As part of a nationwide team of managers, your role will be to manage the relationships with our customers and deliver exceptional security solutions for the benefit and safety of every customer. With a track record of event security and the ability to build relationships with our partners and the authorities that support every event, you’ll be responsible for communication, data analysis and regular updates to your event customers. 

This role will bring a higher level of support for the events we help our customers host. In return, your career ambitions will be supported by the global leader in security and through the influence and inspiration of our Senior Leadership Team of G4S Events. You will report directly into the Eastlands Campus Contract Manager, working at the direction of the MCFC Events Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain effective customer relationships through planning, implementation and management of successful event security and stewarding operations

• On the ground delivery of events including, but not exclusive to matchdays, hospitality events and live music events

• Delivery of gross margin for events within remit in line with business and customer requirement

• Drive improvements and innovation throughout the business

• Responsible for timely and accurate invoicing for events

• Accountability of workforce through full employee life-cycle

• Responsible for people management and employment relations in line with key people policies

• Adherence to project milestones within timescales for events including proactive planning

• Responsible for compliance of systems and processes in the function

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 12 months experience working (on large scale) events, within a management role

• An SIA Door Supervisor License or willingness to complete within 30 days of starting your role

• A NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Spectator Safety or willingness to complete within 6 months of starting your role

• An Event Management, L3 and above qualification, i.e. degree, professional diploma, etc (desirable) 

• Experience of leading / working with large teams of people

• Experience of managing change and improvement

• Experience of building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders

• Experience of working within Sports, Music, Conferencing and/or other types of events
