ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LEAD, HPC


Salary: £67,777.12 per annum


Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm


Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, TA5 1UD


Are you a fully qualified, experienced electrical engineer ready to drive operational excellence on a landmark project? G4S Facilities Management is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead to take ownership of all electrical maintenance and installation operations across the Hinkley Point C (HPC) main site and its associated developments.


This role includes implementing a robust quality assurance program for electrical maintenance and supporting the Hard Service Manager and Head of Technical Services in achieving overall Hard Services excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team & Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with internal teams
    (Mechanical, Support Services, Helpdesk), client contacts, and subcontractors to ensure joined-
    up delivery.

  • Operational & Task Management: Oversee PPM and reactive repairs to meet SLAs and KPIs,
    while pricing and delivering minor works across the HPC estate.

  • Resource & Budget Control: Manage team allocation and schedules to meet contract
    requirements within budget.

  • Safety & Compliance: Prepare RAMS, enforce H&S policies, and maintain robust QA procedures.

  • Reporting & Strategy: Support the leadership team with monthly/annual client reporting, continuous improvement, and new service mobilisations.

Essential Requirements:

  • ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.

  • Proven operational experience with HV/LV systems, standby power, and UPS.

  • Strong track record of developing, managing, and effectively allocating work to a team.

  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to manage workloads and hit deadlines under
    contract demands.

  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills alongside proficient IT literacy tailored to site operations.
